Geographic Information Systems

Plumley Engineering has a broad range of experience in the use of geographic information systems (GIS) for mapping, and environmental and civil data management.  We maintain the latest ArcGIS software and extensions to prepare maps for a multitude of uses.

Projects range from detailed mapping and maintaining a geodatabase for municipal sewer and water systems to agricultural farm mapping to determine usable acreage for land application.  Aquifer studies incorporating over 50 wells have been performed.  Typically, the project involves pumping, and the collection and analysis of water level data resulting in a water withdrawal permit.

These projects use field derived data to create real time, 3D representations of physical site characteristics for regulatory permits.
